I like to create clay women, who seem grounded, nurturing; with
some feminine feature, such as a flower, a bird, or twist of hair.
Clay is the perfect medium to express this.
Touching the clay, as I work, gives me a sense of peace and oneness
with the material. I hope others can feel this.
 
My studio for the past 25 years, at Santa Fe Clay, is in the midst of a vibrant community of clay artists who work, study and share ideas and techniques. Together we enjoy outdoor Raku firings, attend gallery shows and have annual potluck dinners. It is a home away from home.
